Forgotten Prayers 4/29/2013
Wednesday, December 4th, 2013We all have those stories that we mean to write down and forget. I have been bad about not keeping up with my blog, so I am trying to go through some of my stories about devotions/prayers with the boys. I love our morning devotion and prayer time.
The devotion of the morning was…”If you can’t say something nice, then don’t say anything at all. If you have to, go in your room and don’t come out till you can say something nice.”
Drew: “I’m sorry mom.”
Mom: “Ooooo-kay, why are you sorry?”
Drew: “It is hard to put in words.”
Mom: “Did you say something not nice?”
Drew: “No…not really…but sometimes when I get mad at you…”
Mom: “You think bad things in your head?”
Drew: “No…I whisper them.”
Daily Prayer 12/4/2013
Wednesday, December 4th, 2013Every morning on our way to school, Drew reads our daily devotion and we pray. Today, Drew ended his prayer that his sprained foot would feel better. I go next and also prayed that Drew’s foot would feel better. Alex goes last and his prayers are usually filled with repetition and mumbles. Once done, Drew looks at Alex in astonishment and pride and said, “Did I hear you pray for my foot to?!?” Alex says matter of fact, “Nooooo…I prayed for my foot.” Drew looks at him puzzled and says, “I don’t think your foot is hurt.” Alex says, “Yes, I hurt it in the parking lot.” When going into his breakfast classroom, Alex notices Drew limping and also begins to limp.

Happy Fall Ya’ll! I hope everyone has had a wonderful Halloween. Michael and I count ourselves more blessed everyday. Drew turned 9 yesterday, 11/3/2013. I still can not believe how fast the past 9 years have gone. This year Alex was a vampire and Drew was Harry Potter. Drew made the perfect Harry Potter. Alex said he didn’t enjoy being a vampire and said that next year he wanted to be a clown.
Finding a wife
Thursday, December 3rd, 2009Today I was giving uncle mike mike a hard time about not having a girlfriend. I know, hard to believe. I told Drew that Mike Mike would never get married as he was always goofing off. Drew looked at me and said that he would find him a girlfriend. I said, “That’s good Drew!”
“And she will be my wife. Will you help me find a wife, Mommy?”
I felt joy and heard bells ringing. “Yes, my sweet boy…Mommy will find you the perfect wife. A mommy knows the good ones!”
hehehhahahaah

Wednesday, October 7th, 2009This morning on the way to school, Drew told Michael that when he grows up he is going to have 2 kids…and HE is going to name them
Phineas and Ferb.
Phineas Balducci and Ferb Balducci. I’m thinking they could be destined for a lifetime of jokes and ridicule, but who am I to make fun of a name. Anyhow, then he says, “No, I am going to have 3 kids and the third one will be Mario.” Mario Balducci…not bad. Then he says, “No, I am going to have 4 kids and the last one will be Candace.”
I am going to hold off on monogramming items for awhile, cause I’m thinking that these may get veto’d by the missus…whomever she may be. I think he has finally learned that he can’t marry Mommy.
What’s going on!?
Sunday, October 4th, 2009It has been forever since I have posted anything. So much has happened. We are already halfway through the fall soccer season. Michael ended up having to coach. Pictures have been posted. We are the Blue Jets.
Fall has officially started. Today, along with Nana, Leah, Jack and Bonnie we went to Down on the Farm in Rainsville. Not only did the boys have a good time, but we all did. Anytime food is involved, Nana is having a good time. This weekend will be Cleveland, MS Octoberfest, and we will get to see friends and family that we have not seen in awhile.
We just got back from the beach…had a wonderful time. It wasn’t as hot and wasn’t as crowded…always a plus. Michael and drew ate seafood and I managed to find some chicken plates…haha…hate that shellfish allergy!
No more months without posting…I will do better!

Sunday, October 4th, 2009What do you do…
Monday, July 27th, 2009Today on our way to school, Drew and I got to talking about ‘Strangers’ and what to do if one tried to take him. I asked him what he would do if a stranger said, “Come with me and I’ll give you candy.” Drew said, “I would take all their candy and run away!” I think I am going to have re-address this problem…
