Finding a wife

Today I was giving uncle mike mike a hard time about not having a girlfriend. I know, hard to believe. I told Drew that Mike Mike would never get married as he was always goofing off. Drew looked at me and said that he would find him a girlfriend. I said, “That’s good Drew!”

“And she will be my wife. Will you help me find a wife, Mommy?”

I felt joy and heard bells ringing. “Yes, my sweet boy…Mommy will find you the perfect wife. A mommy knows the good ones!”

Tis the season for caramel apples

Last night we had the Bishops over so the boys could play. We made caramel apples. Jack thought we were dipping them in birdseed (pecans).

Of course after all their troubles of making the caramel apples, you know they wanted to taste…one of the ones not covered in caramel and pecans.

A future grandmother of many

This morning on the way to school, Drew told Michael that when he grows up he is going to have 2 kids…and HE is going to name them

Phineas and Ferb.
Phineas Balducci and Ferb Balducci. I’m thinking they could be destined for a lifetime of jokes and ridicule, but who am I to make fun of a name. Anyhow, then he says, “No, I am going to have 3 kids and the third one will be Mario.” Mario Balducci…not bad. Then he says, “No, I am going to have 4 kids and the last one will be Candace.”

I am going to hold off on monogramming items for awhile, cause I’m thinking that these may get veto’d by the missus…whomever she may be. I think he has finally learned that he can’t marry Mommy.

What’s going on!?

It has been forever since I have posted anything. So much has happened. We are already halfway through the fall soccer season. Michael ended up having to coach. Pictures have been posted. We are the Blue Jets.

Fall has officially started. Today, along with Nana, Leah, Jack and Bonnie we went to Down on the Farm in Rainsville. Not only did the boys have a good time, but we all did. Anytime food is involved, Nana is having a good time. This weekend will be Cleveland, MS Octoberfest, and we will get to see friends and family that we have not seen in awhile.

We just got back from the beach…had a wonderful time. It wasn’t as hot and wasn’t as crowded…always a plus. Michael and drew ate seafood and I managed to find some chicken plates…haha…hate that shellfish allergy!

No more months without posting…I will do better!

What do you do…

Today on our way to school, Drew and I got to talking about ‘Strangers’ and what to do if one tried to take him. I asked him what he would do if a stranger said, “Come with me and I’ll give you candy.” Drew said, “I would take all their candy and run away!” I think I am going to have re-address this problem…

Flowers for the Sanders…I mean Sandra

Sandra, you will get a kick out of this one. Today, FINALLY, the floor contractors were able to begin sanding and staining the wood floors at the new house. Also today was my visit from Ms. Sandra, my nurse. This evening while Sandra was at the house, Drew and Michael went to the NEW house to make sure the floor guys had locked the house up. While there Drew picked some flowers. They get in the car to come home and Drew asks Michael, “Are Sanders still there?” Michael said, “No, I think they have already went home.” Drew starts to get upset about SANDRA leaving because he had picked her flowers. Then it hit Michael that Drew wasn’t asking about the floor SANDERS, but SANDRA.

What makes a good spiderman drawing?

The other day Drew informed me that he can “draw the best Spidermans of everybody!” I asked, “Really? How do you know?” As it turns out he draws his Spidermen with 5 fingers and the other kids draw him with 3 fingers.

Spelling and Biology lessons courtesy of Drew

“Do you know how you spell Michael? D-A-D-D-Y.” Drew said this matter of fact and quite proud of himself. How could we correct him??

Drew has always insisted that Michael is brown and mommy is white. For those of you that don’t know us, Michael is of Italian descent, so he has olive like complexion, but isn’t that dark. We have always found this pretty funny. This morning during the unveiling of the Easter basket and eating chocolate. Drew tells Michael that he knows why he is brown, “You eat so much chocolate.” At this I cracked up laughing, and got reprimanded by Drew, “It is not funny.”

I hope everyone had a Happy Easter!

A Chick named Hollow.

I have these large eggs that I bought for decoration. Somehow, I can’t imagine how :-) Drew got a hold of one. He would look at it…shake it…he has even built a nest for it. He finally asked what is in it?! Michael told him that it was hollow inside. Now Drew is convinced that there is a little chick named Hollow in there and he wants him out really bad! I wonder, if Hollow comes out maybe he can play with Chuther?
